Shipping and Returns

PLEASE NOTE: Shipping prices change frequently so prices may not accurately reflect current international freight prices and timeframes. If you require overseas shipping, please contact us for a specific quote. 

SHIPPING 

We regularly ship to the US, Canada, NZ, Australia, UK and Europe. For delivery to other countries, please contact us.

Delivery times are calculated from the time payment is received and your order has been completed in our workshop: 

  • Ready to Ship and In Stock items are typically shipped in 1-3 working days. 
  • Custom made pieces will take approximately 3-6 weeks to craft. When we provide you with a quote we will also estimate when your piece will be completed and shipped.

 
SHIPPING RATES AND TIMEFRAMES 

 All orders will be sent via courier and are fully insured until they arrive at your door. A signature by the addressee will be required to complete delivery.

Free Standard Shipping Tracked: 1 - 3 working days

USA 
FedEx International Priority: 2- 5 working days, USD $40.00  

Canada
FedEx International Priority: 2- 5 working days, CAD $50.00  

Australia 
FedEx International Priority: 2 - 5 working days, AUD $45.00 

UK and Europe 
FedEx International Priority: 2 - 5 working days, GBP $40.00 

 

OUR RETURN AND REFUND POLICY - to be read in conjunction with our Warranty Guidelines 

We want our clients to love their Village Goldsmith jewellery. For in store purchases, we offer clients an exchange or store credit if the piece is returned within 14 days of purchase. As online clients are unable to try a piece on, we offer refunds, exchanges or store credit for online purchases if returned within 14 days of receipt. All returns must be in original, unworn condition with tags intact and returned with all of their original packaging and documentation. Custom and engraved items are not eligible for return. In the rare event of a sale, all sales will be final and returns won't be accepted in that instance. Please see additional conditions below.

Jewellery Purchased In Store

We offer an exchange or store credit for items or gifts bought in store that are returned within 14 days of purchase, that have not been worn and have the original tag still intact. Returns will be accepted at the discretion of The Village Goldsmith and are subject to a quality assurance check. Any items that inspection shows have signs of wear or that have been damaged and/or resized and/or altered by a third party will not be accepted for return or exchange. Please note any returns accepted are eligible for an exchange or store credit only – we do not issue refunds. 

Jewellery Purchased Online

As online clients are unable to try a piece on before purchasing, we offer a refund, exchange or store credit on unworn items if returned within 14 days of receipt. Items are subject to a quality assurance check prior to the refund being issued to confirm it has not been altered or worn. Original tags must be intact and return postage is the client’s responsibility. We offer free shipping back to the client on exchanges within New Zealand.

Bespoke and Custom Items

We are unable to offer a return, exchange or refund for pieces that are customised whether purchased online or in store - this includes engraved and custom made items.

Manufacturing Defects

The Village Goldsmith stands behind our quality and craftsmanship. For any piece purchased in store or online that has a manufacturing or materials defect we will offer an exchange. If this is not possible, we will offer a refund. The item must be returned to The Village Goldsmith Jewellers so the quality assurance team can assess any defect before an exchange is offered. The jewellery must not have been altered by another jeweller or third party.

When returning your item, you must include all original packaging material and contents to protect it during shipping. If applicable, ensure that you include your diamond certificate. The original tag must be intact. If you have any questions about our returns policy, please contact us.Â
