Luminary Necklace | Illuminating a Path to a Cure

We are immensely proud to have supported the CatWalk Trust since its inception in 2005. CatWalk funds innovative, world-class spinal cord injury research to cure paralysis. Helping to advance this crucial research is personal for The Village Goldsmith. Our founder, Ian Douglas, has been a CatWalk Ambassador for many years after an accident nearly left him paralysed.
This year, the Village Goldsmith donated a custom designed necklace to auction at the CatWalk’s Luminary Event. The event brought together leading researchers, supporters and advocates for spinal cord injury research to raise critical funds towards a cure.
About The Luminary Necklace
Inspired by CatWalk Trust’s event theme for 2024 – Luminary, which features illuminated imagery of the spine’s vertebrae, The Luminary Necklace was designed by Ian Douglas. Meticulously crafted in platinum by Darren, one of our master jewellers and Adrian, our master gemstone setter, this necklace features a breathtaking 3.14ct red spinel, adorned with collection-grade diamonds.
