2018 ECC NZ Student Design/Craft Awards Winners
THE WINNERS ARE....
The 2018 ECC NZ Student Design/Craft Awards ceremony took place on 1 November at ECC Ltd Wellington. Run by Friends of The Dowse, the ECC NZ Student Craft/Design Awards encourages innovation and creativity among New Zealand tertiary students. The competition provides an opportunity for students to step into creative industries with a coveted award to their name, as well as gain financial assistance for their future endeavours.
Ian Douglas, The Village Goldsmith's creative director and founder, was a member of the judging team who included Anita Dykes (ECC), Federico Monsalve (Urbis), Jonathon Hall (Rembrandt), and Paul Cockburn (L'affare).
We would like to congratulate Grace Yu Piper from Whitireia who was the winner of The Village Goldsmith Jewellery Award, with her entry 'Fitting #5'.
We would also like to congratulate the recipients of the Highly Commended Jewellery Award:
Meg van Hale from Otago Polytechnic and Cindy Tan from Hungry Creek Arts & Crafts School.
